MAC Pro Longwear SPF 10 Foundation Review

First off I have to say that I am in love love love with this foundation.  It has been the best foundation I have found so far for my oily skin and I am amazed at the quality and results that this product delivers.

Usually I stray away from MAC because of the breakout factor that a lot of other people have seemed to expericence, but because of many positive reviews I have read I decided to purchase this without even getting a sample because I just had faith in it for some reason.  Pro Longwear applies best with a brush to get the foundation looking even and not streaky because it does dry fast.  I also find that it makes any brand of concealer stay in place longer if applied on top.  I still can't wait to try the Pro Longwear concealer though.  I am an NC25 and this matched up perfectly with my skin tone.  I have not experienced the "ghost face" in any pictures because of the SPF either.

The best part for me though is its ability to keep my shine at bay longer than any other foundation has.  I do get shiny, but it doesn't look bad because this foundation minimizes the appearance of my pores so any shine doesn't accenuate them.  I even accidentally slept in this stuff the other night and have yet to experience a breakout not to mention I woke up still looking more than half way decent :)

Pros:
-Lasts until I take it off (meaning it doesn't transfer or slide around on my face)
-Good oil control
-No oxidizing
-No "ghost face" in photos
-No breakouts or clogged pores
-Minimizes pore appearance
-Comes with pump

I can't really think of any cons as of yet.

Before application:

After application (no primer):

Sometimes I use moisturizer underneath just because it's freezing right now and my skin can get dry out of the shower but Pro Longwear doesn't dry my skin out (probably because I have oily skin to begin with) making moisturizer a non-necessity.  It works well with or without moisturizer and I find that I don't need a primer for this foundation to stay or look better.

the foundation looks really good on you and it doesn't look heavy like the rest of MAC foundations

Thank you! And you're right it doesn't. It evens out my skin without being obviously applied.
